Carefully cut through the tube.
I used a small drill mounted in a vice with a cutting wheel turning slowly.
Revolve the tube against the wheel, mark a circle first then increase force and cut through.
Heat the tube in a cup of boiling water for a couple of minutes to expand it then tug the cable out.
Clean the muck away and redo the crimps
with a Mole grip
Tada
Seal with a blob of epoxy
