The top bit slides to zoom the beam

I have no idea what the scale means but at maximum zoom, the bright bit is 400mm across @ 5m

It has five modes, Max, Mid, Min, Flash and SOS which cycle around when the button on the bottom is pressed. If it's turned off for about 10s then it resets to Max.

So, does it produce 3000 lumens?

According to the Cree datasheet for a T6 led

Minimum Luminous Flux
@ 700 mA
Calculated Minimum
Luminous Flux (lm)
Group Flux (lm) 1000 mA 1500 mA 2000 mA
T6 280 388 551 692

According to my meter

3 AAAs Li-ion
Voltage 2.35 4.02 V
Max 0.78 1.11 A
Mid 0.4 0.53 A
Min 0.22 0.26 A
Flash 0.5 0.82 A
SOS 0.83 1.09 A

Probably not

maybe they meant 300?

Still, it is very bright and a bargin at £12.89.

¿Why buy it?
For light painting with the camera after dark.
What larks eh?

Incidentally, I don't understand why the AAA battery holder Voltage measured only 2.35 when each one was 1.47
